Toroid - Butler College

A free-standing cast concrete wall is embedded with a series of sculptural fins. The fin formation describes the elliptic shape of a stretched Toroid that appears to be emerging/floating up and out of uppermost edge of the wall's cast undulating surface. This interactive artwork has been designed as a bold linking series of rising and falling planes that change in intensity as the viewer moves around the artwork.
